My Services | The Process

The most important details about my process are listed within the different products in the 'Shop' section, but I will go into some more detail here:

⦁ To start the road trip to your unique artwork of your special vehicle, you commit by paying 50% of the fee

⦁ and emailing me your very best, high resolution photo/s of your vehicle, together with any instructions (if any), questions and thoughts.

⦁ At this point you also let me know if you want any personalised writing or dedication added to the drawing. By default, I will add this in normal sized cursive handwriting, either on the left or right hand side bottom, depending on the composition of the photo. I can also add this by type during the second stage - but this will only show in the composite print.

⦁ Now I will start the drawing and craft a traditional, detailed, high contrast graphite drawing of your Classic Car, motorbike, trike, truck or tank

⦁ on high quality, heavy 300gsm paper in A3 or 250gsm for A4 size, pending on what you ordered. Following are the measurements:

⦁ A3 = 29.7 x 42.0 cm / 11.7 x 16.5inches, taking approx. 8hrs to complete

⦁ A4 = 21.0 x 29.7cm / 8.3 x 11.7in , taking approx. 5hrs to complete.

⦁ I will endeavour to complete the drawing within one working week, pending on my work load.

⦁ In that time you can find the right photograph for the background to incorporate into the print. Keep in mind: The photograph will be *the background* of your car, and I will be able to give it *some* graphic treatment, such as blurring and colour cast. If you want your vehicle drawn together with a background, please refer to the Custom Drawing section, further below.

⦁ As you can see in the example of the Dodge, some Sepia colour treatment is also very effective
for when the actual drawing is fused into the print with the background.

⦁ I will have to check if your background photograph is suitable and let you know.

⦁ The remaining %50 fee is due on me emailing you the image of the finished drawing.

⦁ Upon receipt I will then scan the drawing, add the background in graphic software and print the new composite colour image (approx. 2-3 hrs additional labour),

⦁ also on high quality, heavy 300/250gsm paper,

⦁ Once this process is complete, both of the artworks will be sent to you, well protected in either in a sturdy tube or flat.

⦁ Postage within Australia is free, if I have to send overseas, postage cost will be added to the fee and I will let you know beforehand.

Custom Drawings | Special Orders

If you like my style, as such, but the other options won't quite do it for you:

⦁ you might prefer a fully rendered artwork of your vehicle with a fully drawn background,

⦁ a full colour drawing in a colour scheme of your choice, realistic or artistically enhanced

⦁ an all black charcoal drawing

⦁ yourself, or someone special put into the drawing

⦁ a combination of the above, or something else altogether
